Integrity of the EU Storyline permalink

With the coming of the new planets, new stories are going to be unfurled. Now even though this is a virtual world and it's separate from our reality, I am a firm believer in a good storyline (one that isn't ridiculous) and after looking at the "Next Island" planet I am a little worried. The site mentioned time travel and trading of items between epochs. Now, I don't know about you but I think that this sounds a little far-fetched. I like the current storyline of EU and I'm worried that it's going to become a jumbled mess of incongruent stories that make no sense together.

Rocktropia is supposed to be a virtual music world. Now, do we really think that after leaving Earth and colonizing Calypso (not even done colonizing) that we had the free time to inhabit a planet and make it the music hub of the universe? I dunno about that.

I don't want the integrity of EU being compromised, and I feel that the planet partners are abandoning the "colonist" approach of Calypso. Maybe "abandoning" isn't the right word because they are separate companies.

I sound like a huge dork right now, because probably most people playing EU don't care about the storyline and just play because it's fun. But it would bother me to have my avatar living in a universe that is far-fetched. Is that stupid? Yes I know colonizing another planet is far-fetched in itself, but come on... having an entire planet devoted ONLY to music?
